Branding and Digital
Ascend Integrated Media Website and Rebrand.
Worked with Kansas City agency to rebrand a 28 year old print event media company into a 21st century digital custom content leader. From new logo to new brand position to new website I managed a complete overhaul of the company's brand and marketing. This included creating a social media strategy, writing all copy for the new website and the on-going management of both the company's social media and website.
Ascend Integrated Media Print Ad Campaign
Building on the company rebrand a print ad campaign was established using internal designers to create an ad campaign that ran in local and national publishing magazines both digital and print. I managed the designers, wrote the copy for the ads and handled the media placement.
Ascend Integrated Media Sponsorship Advertising
Managed internal design team to create a congratulatory ad for the JCCC Performing Arts Series 20th Anniversary. Ascend produced the event program so I utilized that relationship to secure a trade ad in the program for additional exposure in the Kansas City market.

As the producer of the print program for the 2010 Heart of America Shakespeare Festival I maximized that position by securing an ad in the inside cover of the event program. I managed the design team to execute my concept of a flow chart style ad keeping with the theme of King Richard III, the play chosen for that year's event.
Handled the management of design and printing for a tri-fold brochure to be distributed on current job sites from a flyer box on job signs placed within the property of current projects.
Determined the need for a leave behind on sales calls to allow for company sales materials and information to be left for homeowners to reference during their buying decision cycle. Managed the designer and printer to get them printed in such a way to be visually appealing in a leave behind folder by stepping the sizing.
Email and Print Newsletters
Managed a freelance designer to build an email and print version of a client and prospective client newsletter campaign created to look like a remodeling magazine. I managed the design and wrote the copy for all editions of the campaign. We also tracked the interaction with the piece and followed up with emails and phone calls to encourage interaction with our sales force.
Managed the marketing and public relations campaigns centered around individual authors of books about autism spectrum disorders. Using the internet to research local bookstores, support groups, education groups and media to promote local authors in their area of the country to capitalize on interest in local authors.
I used direct mail to reach the audience of an oldies station with the number one morning show in the market. Using a scavenger hunt game that utilized members of the extremely popular morning show and Baltimore area landmarks to encourage listenership during specific day parts. The campaign not only utilized direct mail but had a component where we took advantage of a trade relationship with the local CBS TV affiliate to air cross promotional spots in evening newscasts to enhance the contest and increase ratings share of the radio station.
